How frequent are the Organic & Sustainable Baby Awards?

Our Awards are held annually, with entries generally opening in each March. To ensure you don’t miss out, please feel free to join our mailing list to be notified when the awards are open for intake.


Who judges the awards and how are winners decided?

We are proud of our unique judging system which uses both real parents alongside industry experts as judges - ensuring that your product is fairly evaluated whilst increasing the exposure your brand gets by placing it in influential hands. Our troupe of real parents, influencers (and their babies!) work alongside us to tirelessly prod, poke, apply, sleep on, bounce on, wear, wash and poop on your products – all in the name of finding the best of the best in forward-thinking organic baby brands!

How many Categories may I enter my product in to?

As the only awards initiative to not charge extra for entry into unlimited categories, we offer remarkable value. Of course, the more relevant the category - the greater your chance of winning and impressing the panel, so be sure to choose only relevant categories! How are the winners announced?

The exciting part! You’ll receive a rather special e-mail, so keep a close eye on your inbox. Our winners list is also published in the September / October issue of Nursery Today Magazine, the leading print publication in the industry. Of course we will also be touting the winners all over our website and social media, so don’t worry – you, (and the world) will know!

Can I get feedback about my entry?

We are the only awards initiative who provide all of our entrants with full feedback on what impressed our panel – these are fantastic quotes to use on your marketing materials and if you're lucky, these quotes may come from some recognisable names! The feedback PDF will be emailed to all entrants after the winners are announced.

We are a P.R agency who represent a number of brands; is there a group entry discount?

My company would like to submit an entry, but our product is particularly expensive and/or large, what is the sample requirement?

Our usual requirement is for 2 x samples of each entered product, however for larger items we are able to accept one sample. For extra-large / expensive items, we may be able to work with a short-term sample on a loan basis. Please contact us to discuss.

Can payment be made via invoice?

Yes, send us an e-mail at hello@organicbabyawards.com so that we can arrange a manual entry form and invoice for you.

Should we win, is there a license fee to use the winners' badge across social media / our website / packaging?

We know that once you win, you’re going to want to SHOUT about it! We have a fairly priced license fee of £150, and this includes lifetime use. All we ask is that our award is displayed respectfully; and not altered, changed or defaced in any way. Winning artwork will be sent for digital download once the license fee of £150 has been paid, which will be sent via invoice.

Do winning brands receive a physical trophy?

We understand that not all brands require a trophy, but for those that do, we offer a service whereby we can arrange an environmentally friendly bamboo trophy.

How many samples will I be required to send?

We usually request 2x samples for each product entered into the awards – One will be sent to the parent testing panel, and one to the OBA office. There are a few exceptions to this rule. For a small number of categories (e.g. nappies, wipes and food) we may request 4x products. For larger items such as furniture or prams, one sample is usually sufficient. For particularly high value items, we may accept a sample loan. You will find details of this in the e-mail that will be sent to you in the weeks prior to the sample window opening.

I am an online retailer of multiple brands, which products should I send as a sample?

For online retailers, stores and websites the sample process is a little different. You may either send a selection of items that best represent the curation of your website, or you may issue The Organic Baby Awards with a gift certificate so that the panel can place an order from your website. Entries into this category will be judged on website design, product and brand curation, branding, website ease-of-use, customer experience and packaging.

Where should I send my samples?

After entry, you will receive an e-mail with full information on the sample process, including U.K and international addresses and advice on how to safely get your sample to us!

Will samples be returned?

We are unable to return any samples. If you have a particularly high value sample, we may consider a sample loan on a case-by-case basis, so please contact us.
