How often are the Organic & Sustainable Baby Awards held?

The awards are held annually, with entries typically opening in March each year.

To make sure you don’t miss important announcements, you can also join our mailing list for updates on entry openings, key dates and winners.

Can international brands enter?

Yes. We welcome entries from brands across the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and North America.

Once your entry is confirmed, we will provide sample delivery instructions and addresses. Our judging process ensures that all products are evaluated fairly regardless of where the brand is based.

What happens after I submit my entry?

Once your entry is confirmed, you will receive an email with full instructions on the product sample process, including shipping details and key deadlines.

Your product will then be evaluated by our industry experts and real parent testing panel, and you will receive your judging feedback and scores once the judging process is complete.

Can small or independent brands win?

Absolutely. Our awards are judged purely on merit, meaning that brand size, age or marketing budget has no influence on the results.

Independent brands, start-ups and established companies all have an equal opportunity to win.

Is it still worth entering if I don’t win?

Yes. One of the unique features of the Organic & Sustainable Baby Awards is that every entrant receives detailed judging feedback. This insight from both industry experts and real parent testers can be incredibly valuable for product development, marketing and PR, even if your product does not win an award.

Your product will also be in the hands of some influential buyers during judging; these connections and introductions have been invaluable for many brands in past years, so even entering is an opportunity in itself.

Can my product win more than one award?

Yes. If your product performs strongly across multiple categories, it is possible to win more than one award.

If you choose to accept multiple awards, the £160 winner licence fee applies to each award, which includes lifetime use of the official winner logo for packaging, websites, social media and marketing materials.

Who judges the awards and how are winners decided?

Our unique judging system combines industry experts, buyers and retailers with our real parent testing panel.

Products are tested in real-life situations by parents and their babies, ensuring that every product is assessed for quality, usability, sustainability and innovation.

There are no public votes or popularity contests - every entry is judged fairly and transparently based on merit.

How many categories can I enter?

One of the unique features of our awards is that you may enter your product into multiple relevant categories at no additional cost.

We always recommend choosing categories that best fit your product to maximise your chances of success.

Can PR agencies submit entries for their clients?

Yes. If you represent multiple brands and would like to arrange a group entry, please contact us at hello@organicbabyawards.com and we’ll be happy to assist.

Can payment be made via invoice?

Yes. Please contact us at hello@organicbabyawards.com and we can arrange a manual entry form and invoice for your submission.

How many samples are required?

For most products, we request two samples of each item entered:

• one for our judging team
• one for our real parent testing panel

For certain categories (such as wipes, nappies or food products) we may request additional samples, while larger items such as furniture or prams usually require only one sample.

Full instructions will be sent via email before the sample window opens.

Do international brands need to send product samples?

Yes. In order for our judging panel and real parent testers to properly evaluate your product, samples are required for most entries.

Once your entry has been submitted, we will email you with full instructions on the sample process, including UK and international delivery addresses and guidance on sending your products safely.

We regularly receive entries from brands across the UK, Australia, New Zealand and North America, and our team will guide you through the process to make shipping as simple as possible.

My product is large or expensive. What should I do?

For particularly large or high-value items, we may be able to arrange a short-term loan sample instead of a full product submission. Please contact us to discuss your options.

Where should I send my samples?

After completing your entry, you will receive an email with full instructions on the sample process, including both UK and international delivery addresses.

Will my samples be returned?

Unfortunately, we are unable to return samples after testing. For high-value items, a loan sample may be possible on a case-by-case basis.

How are winners announced?

Winning brands are contacted via email and announced across our website and social media channels.

Winners are also featured in the September / October issue of Nursery Today Magazine, a leading publication within the baby industry.

Do entrants receive feedback?

Yes. One of the things that makes our awards unique is that all entrants receive detailed judging feedback.

This feedback includes insights from both the judging panel and our parent testers and can be extremely valuable for marketing, PR and product development.

Is there a license fee if we win?

If you win an award and choose to accept it, a £160 license fee per award applies.

This fee grants lifetime use of the official winner logo across packaging, websites, social media and marketing materials.

Do winners receive a trophy?

For brands who would like one, we offer the option to purchase an environmentally friendly bamboo trophy.

Will samples be returned?

We are unable to return any samples. If you have a particularly high value sample, we may consider a sample loan on a case-by-case basis, so please contact us.

I run an online store featuring multiple brands. How should I submit samples?

If you are entering as a retailer or curated store, you may either:

• send a selection of items representing your store’s product range
• provide a gift certificate so the judging panel can place an order directly

Entries in this category are evaluated based on website design, brand curation, customer experience, packaging and ease of use.
